For the second paper, I gathered historians’ opinions on race and racial identity in colonial Latin America. I learned the complexity and fluidity of race as a social construction. Race shall not be determined by simply categorizing complexion, and racial discrimination for whatever ends has never been and will not be justified. No matter what complexion, we are humans, with the same origin and a shared fate on this Earth.
I love taking and collecting photos of the sky. People love its kaleidoscopic forms and colors. Should we not also admire and respect the multicolor nature of humanity?
